CIRCUIT COURT MATTERS.
The court is not in session this week, having adjourned from last Saturday until next Monday. 1 Chas. Bradenburg was tried Friday for stealing Frank Douglas’ revolver, ■ as mentioned at the time of his arrest, several months ago. The jury deliberated over the case all of Friday night and then agreed on a sentence of 60 days in jail, disfranchisement for four years, and a fine of $1 and costs. The sentence will keep him in jail, With plenty to eat and nothing to do, until about the Ist of April— About as good a thing as he wants, in fact. John and Orlando Wallace have paid into court S3OO, the amount of the forfeited bail of Ozro Wallace, the slayer of Wm. Morrissey, now a fugitive from justice, with an indictment for murder hanging over his head. There are now three divorce cases pending in the court. The latest of these is the suit of Mrs. Ella H. Welsh, against the celebrated champion defendant, John M. Welsh, of Wheatfield. The complainant alleges that Welsh is now a common drunkard and that she is tired of working for his support.
