FIRST TERM REPORT.
Of the Rensselaer Graded Schools. The ■ Rensselaer Graded School Opened on the 2nd of September and closed its first term Nov. 2nd 188‘J. The-enrollment by months is as fol-lows-r- - First month ■ —second: ffionth“ 40(5, third month 416; and the average daily attendance is as follows: First month 353.2, second month 364.2ytliird month 365.5. The upon the average number belonging for the tiiree months is as follows: First' month 96.3, second month OOF, third month 37.2. The above statistics are in excess of those for last year for the corresponding term. Daring the term just closed all the teachers have discharged their duties faithfully and well; the progress of their respective pupils barring a few, lias been satisfactory; and the deportment of pupils has, on the whole, been quite -commendable. The attendance has been excellent. This excellence would be more apparent were I to quote from the statistics from the State Superintendent's report; but as space Ts‘lvaiiting'fof~sblehgtiiy a report I reserve these quotations for my final report of the school year, which will be printed in the next catalogue. The report of the pupils of the several grades, embracing their class standing- and examination averages, is, as. can be observed, good; Someindecd standing very high. 1 think no pupil has been marked too high, for those whose averages are above 90 per cent, have done some hardstudying, both late at night and early in the morning. Let me again request the friends and patrons of the School to occasionally visit it. Term averages of all the pupils by grades: HIGH SCHOOL. SENIORS.
