The County Commissioners.

The Board of County Commissioners met Monday in regular December session, Avith Hon. O. P. Taber in the chair. Saloon licenses were granted to M. O. ■Halloran and Conard Hilderbrancl, both of Bersselaer. Geo. E. Hosmer showed that he Avas assessed for taxes in both Milroy and Hanging Grove tps., and the Board granted his petition to liaA-e the assessment in Milroy. set aside. Elizabeth Finney, of \Yheatfield tp., claimed that she had been assessed on 8800 Avhere it should have been 1400. Her excess of taxes were remitted. —An order was ptrtron record requiring all paupers who are public charges in the eouuty, to be taken to the county poor asylum, on and after Jan. Ist 1890. Ten claims were considered and allowed in full, on Monday and thirty-seven on Tuesday. Itichard H. Pureupile, ot Rensselaer, avhs appointed a justice of the peace, in and for Marion township, in response to a written petition of the following leading professional, official and business men of Rensselaer: M.
