A Hopeless Invalid.

A correspondent of the Philadelphia Telegram reports that the Hon. George H. Pendleton, formerly minister to Germany is a hopeless invalid. He is now traveling with his daughters about j the health resorts of Europe, and hopes ! to return to America this fall, but h« ,frill never again appear in public li s o. His friends reluctantly confess thafhe is threatened with softening of the brain.
