Frank Ross, of Helena, Montana, is here for a short visit. F. B. Learning, of Goshen, is revisiting old scenes in this place. Mrs. Jennie Hawkins is at Meehanicsburg, Ind.. attending a sick relative, T. J. Farden struck the town again, Tuesday evening, for the first time in many moons'. J. M. Hopkins has been granted an increase in his pension rate. He is noyr allowed $lO per month. P.ev. E. G. Policy and family departed for the cast, Monday evening. They will fie absent several weeks, Mrs. Minnie Alvey, of St. John, Ky., a sister of Miss Lizzie Warner, is visiting her Rensselaer relatives. Miss Mary Myers is back from Lovington, 111., where she has. been , trimming in a millinery store, during the spring season. , Mr. and Mrs. Delos Thompson came home Monday, from Michigan, where the latter has been visiting friends for two months. Will Moss,-with wife and baby, is visiting his mother, Mrs. L. A. Moss. He is now connected with the Detroit Stove Works, at Detroit, Mich. Messrs. Sherman Frederick and L. J. Graham were at Livingston, Montana, and were headed for Tacoma, Washington. They are making an extensive peregrination. Lyman Zea, who has been working on a gravel road in Carroll county for some time, has come back and is hauling the stone for the culvert near Headley Brown’s place. J. W. Powell departed for Washington, to enter upon the duties of his appointment, on Wednesday of last week. His family are still in Rensselaer, and perhaps will remain here permanently,
Editor Isherwood, of the Delphi Times, and wife were in town last Thursday and Friday, the guests during their stay of Mr. and Mrs. E. I*. Honan. Mr. Isherwood was working in the interests of the coming railroad excursion to Chicago. Sunday was a red letter day for Mr. aud Mrs. Berry Pans, as all of their children, except their son Zimri, spent the day under their roof. Those present besides Miss Rose, who lives with them, were Mrs. Louise Imes anti husband, of Monou, their son John and wife, of Attica. Mrs. Amanda Lewis ams husband. of Oxi ford, Miss Lydia, of Xenia, Robert, of Kewannn, and Miss Brownie Fowler, their niece, of Xenia. A good suit of clothes may now be had at R.
