Wheat looks well. The click of the corn-planter is heard in this part although some are through planting already. Rev. Geo. Allman preached at the Slaughter school house last Sunday. There will be preaching at the same place uext Sunday by Rev. Milfrey, at 10:30 a m. aud at the O’Mera school house at 3:30 p. m. by Bev. U. M. McGuire. The hay press of Percy Taylor, that was worked by the Peurights, took a burst up the other day, aud business in that direction wi Unstop for the present. Charles Paine has left for parts unknown. Mr. Penright has discovered a new remedy for curing 84»re fingers etc., for particulars call oU him. Jessie Smith is on the sick list caused by exposure to those northern blizzards oi last week.
