VALPARAISO’S REVIVAL.

One of the most remarkable religious revivals in Northern Indiana is in progress in the Christian church in Valparaiso., Elder J. H. O. Smith held a.meeting in that city one year ago, which resulted in about 200 additions to the church. The congregation resolved to build a new house of worship and called upon Elder Smith to become its pastor. He entered upon his pastoral work the firs of last September. They dedicatee the new house Dec. 16, 1888. Elder Smith then commended a protractee meeting, which has been continuer to the present time and which hat resulted in 324 additions up to last Wednesday. In all his work there, there has been about 600 additions to that congregation. The members of the church in Rensselaer have a promise that he wiil come to their assistance in a meeting after he holds a short meeting in Boston, Mass.
