Mrs. G. 11. Werner? is recovering from a severe attack of lung fever. The Peregrine boys have been making hay in the big marsh just east of North Rishling’s farm. Geo. Robinson is contemplating building a new house. The Halleck Bros, have erected quite an extensive hay* bam at Marlborough. W. E. Overton, agent for the “Beautiful Story,” made a successful delivery of the book the first of the month. > i The Memorial sermon of Peter Ablegore, who died’ the 18th ult, was preached at the Osborne school house last Sunday. Friday night, at the re-election of officers for the Literary Society, Mr. Moore Banta was chosen president and Gaylord Worsted editor: all other officers were re-elected for another term. The teachers’ regular township institute was held at the Banta school house last *&aturday. Feb. 2. The house was called tp order by the township principal, B. F. Sisk, and the following subjects well treated.
