A Card from the Clergy.

To the Business Men of Rensselaer, Gentlemen:—lt affords us pleasure to comply with your request regarding the observance of the Lord’s day. We are gratified to find your petition so strong and full. And we do respectfully suggest: Ist. That on and after Dec. 33, 1888, every business house in Rensselaer be closed on the Sab.,bath,,aud"iio business done except in case of extreme necessity. 2nd. That the restaurants continue to do a table business (serve meals) buCsell no other goods. 3rd. That the drug stores be opened from 8:30 to 9*:‘39 a. in. and 12 to 1:(H) p. m., and that there be sold nothing save goods for medicinal purposes. Rev. M. L. Tressler, Pastor of Presbyterian Church.
