The Electric Light Project.

The electric light project has made progress, since our last issues, al though it is yet too soon to announce positively that the enterprise is an assured success; but we may, at least, say that the prospects are very encouraging. Many new names have been added to those who agree to use the lights, and two or three electrical experts have looked the field over, and their judgements have been favorable. The Town Board, at their special meeting Friday night, received a proposition from Mr. Ferguson, butdeferaed taking any action thereupon. The proposition was to furnish the electric burners for the street lights, at SI per month. This sum would considerably increase the cost of lighting over the present system, but Mr. Ferguson claims that the lights would be so much better as to justify some additional expense.
