Commissioners' Proceedings.
The report of James T. Randle, Benjamin Harris and C. D. Now- ' els, viewers in the. case of the ■ ditch in Union township, petitioned fqr by. Richard Butler and others, was received, and the ditch ordered established. The viewers are directed to meet in the Surveyer’s ofiice to make a final report, Dec. 17, ■ . . , _ The county Auditor made report showing that the sum of S2OOO iof County Jail Fund is now bn ■ hand and that the Jail Bond debt •has been fully paid, leaving said amount as a surplus, and asking that it be transferred to the county Revenue, which was ordered done, by the Board. ROADS AND BRIDGES; The iron bridge ovqr the State Ditch, in Milroy tp., was shown to be completed and paid for,- and the case was dismissed. The iron bridge over the Pinkamink between Barkley and Hanging Grove tps., is also completed. Un petition of Wm. ,D. Meyers and others, forja change of highway m Walker tp., Andrew Boston, Samuel Nelson and Fred Hasselbripg were appointed tb view the'proposed change, on January 21st. On petition of James Fay and and others Isaac V. Alter, Abram Warne and Aaron E. Pierson were appointed to view a proposed highway in Barkley tp. Geo. Wesner and others peti tion for a highway in AValker tp., and Wm. Dahucke, Geo. Hoehn and jWin. Miller are appointed viewers in the case. W. R. Sutton and others asked for a highway in Milroy tp., at the Septcm ber session, ; Tne viewers, G. P. Daugherty, Je.~be F. Smith and Sylvester O’Meara, reported favorably and the highway was declared established and ordered opened. Archibald Pullins, of Jasper countj’ and J. G. Boyles, of Pulaski county, joint commissioneis in the matter of the highway in Jasper and Pulaski counties, petitioned for by Adam Hess and others, reported favorably and the highway was declared established. In the matter of a change of highway asked for in Jordan tp., by James Bullis and others, Robert Michael protested against the report of the viewers and asked that reviewers be appointed. H. W. Porter, Berry Paris and. Jas. T. Randle were appointed as such reviewers. Remonstrance was also made against the report of the viewers m the case of the highway asked for in 'Wheatfield tp., by John M. Helmick, and others and Harrison Mitchell, Michael Robinson and Wm. H. Ramey were appointed as other viewers and reviewers, Tirthtrcnser- ~~ The report of the viewers in the case of the highway petitioned for in Wheatfield . tp., by Chas. Miller and? others was rejected and refened back to the viewers for correction. David V. On petition of Willard St jckwell ana others for the vacation of a highway in Walker and the location of another, JamesH.Comer, Simeon A. Dowell and George Adair were appointed viewers in the case. The viewers in the case of the highway asked for in Keener tp., by' W. H. Tyler and others, reported favorably and the highway was ordered opened. The report was also favorable in the other highway in Keener tp., petitioned for by the said Tyler and others, and the highway was declared established. John Jordan and others want a change and vacation of a highway in Carpenter tp., and O. M. Vickery, Dexter R. Jones and A. J. Bellows are appointed viewers in the case.
