J A gentleman at Nashville, Tenn., writo-The Jourrial that he recently met ; Mr. nenry F. Work, of New Washington. Ind., Demwratic nominee for representative in Clarke county, and had several conversations with him relative to Indiana politics, Mr. Work, supposing the Naslxville mail to be a free trade Democrat, talked* freely to him, and informed him that the Indiana Democrats ‘‘would have to do this year as they did in 1884—buy the state/’ In it further? burst of confidence he just returned from Lexington, Midway, Versailles and Louisville.
