FOUR NEGROES MURDERED.
The Men Killed at Diff. rent Times, but All Murdei ed by Cutting the Ihruat. Birmingham, Ala., Oct. 21.—The people of Tuscaloosa, a small town fiftv-six miles southwest of this city, are excited by the mysterious murder of four negroes within ten days. The first victim was John Hill, a respected negro mechanic, who was supposed to have been murdered for his money. His dead body was found in the street, one morning, with his throat cut and fifteen knife holes in the body. Last Monday the body of an unknown negro was found in the woods a few miles from, town and on Friday the body of a third victim was found in the river near by, the throats of both having beifin cut from ear to ear. This morning the body of the fourth victim was found in the woods near town. The officers have thus far been unable to obtain any clew to the perpetrators of the crimes. The body found this morning has not yet been identified. The bodies of all found had their throats cut. With the exception of the first found, the bodies of none showed ony other mark of violence. The colored people of the town have been frightened almost out of their wits by these ciimes.
