Mr. Thurman has his letter of acceptance ready for the press. Hon. Allen G. Thurman will be at a barbecue at Shelbyyille, Oct. 15. + The Hendricks 'Club, of Indianapolis, called on Mr. Thurman, at Columbus, Saturday. Gen. Harrison and Mr. Blaine will probably meet in New York some time during this month. ■ The Minhesota labor interests and Farmers’ Alliance, Tuesday, nominated Ignatius Donnelly for Governor. Mr. Blaine spoke to 5,000 people at Calais, Me., Wednesday,denouncing the Mills bill and the President s recent message. ■ Mat Quay, chairman of the National Republican Committee, has received a letter from Charles H. Litchman, general secretary of the K. of L., offering bis services in the present campaign. Gen. Harrison gave a inception, Friday, at Middle Bass Island, to the people from the country in the vicinity. Several thousand people came to see him from Ohio and Michigan. He left for Indianapolis, Sept. 3d.
