Of the 500 shares of‘stock 2 shares have been forfeeted by non-payment of dues. The other 498 are still in existence. The actual receipts .of the Association from its various sources of income, have been as follows: Monthly dues 82,955. Entrance fees 8125.50 Pass books $27.80. For interest on loansso3.4o. From attorney’s fees 21,75. From fines $13.15. * From fees for transfer-, ring stock $5.75. Total $3212.35. This is the actual cash receipts and does not include the premiums on loans, which figure upon the books of the Association as so much cash. The amount of the premiums for the six months is $927.50. Seventeen shares have been loaned upon during the six months ,at an average premium of 27 per cent. The total sum paid out for the expenses of the association, to the present time, is $76.85. J' Death of Wm. Iv. I’arkiNon. Wm. K. Parkison, of Barkley township, died at an early hour Tuesday morning, of paralysis of the brain resulting from heart disease. His physician visited him on Sunday and found him much better than usual, but on Monday his sickness took an unfavorable tarn, with the result above inentioned. Mr. Parkison has been sick for’ several years and at death’s door a number of times, during that period. Mr. Parkison’s age was 68 years. He was oue of the oldest settlers of Jasper county, having lived here since boyhood. He was a wealthy and a prominent man; well known throughout the county and re--spected -and -esteemed whereverknown. He has filled many positions bf trust,and responsibility du township and county, including the honorable office of County Commissioner. The funeral was held at Barkley church, yesterday afternoon and was Very largely attended. It was conducted under the direction of Prairie Lodge, P. <fc A. M., of~ which the deceased -had long been a member. Rev. E. Geo. Pelley conducted the religious services..
