The New Methodist Church.

Last week we gave some particulars regarding the church edifice about to be erected'in* Rensselaer, for thoM. E. congregation. This Aveek we have the, privilege of presenting our readers with a picture, showing the building as it will appear when 'completed. It will really be seen that it will not only be a roomy and convenient

stvuchti4 but, withal, a decided

ornament to the town, a most notablo addition to the architectural attractions of Rensselaer. The accompanying diagram shows the interior arrangements of the building and also will serve to give some idea of the external configuration of those parts of the exterior which are not shown in the picture. The auditorium will contain 310 full seats, and the lecture room, which can be made a part of the auditorium by opening the folding doors, will furnish seating room for an additional 100. The building is to be of brick, with stone foundations and slate roof. Its cost will be not less than $5,000 and probably will reach $6,000, when completed and furnished. The amount now subscribed. by responsible parties, is very nearly $5,000, thanks to the wonderful energy; tact, and perseverance under very discouraging cirpii instances, of the pastor, Rev.. E. Geo. Pelley.
