Barkley Township Republicans.

The Republicans of Barkley township turned out in large numbers and full of enthusiasm, at the meeting at Center school house last Saturday evening. A township Harrisbn & Morton club was formed, with a membership of 37, at this first meeting. Jas. W. Cowden is President, of the club; 8. R. Nichols,- Vice President; Samuel Pass, Secretary, and Wallace Murray, Treasurer. The membership of the club will 'be vastly increased, r Excellent speeches were made by Hon. I. D. Dunn, Alfred Thompson and W. \Y. Watson, The Republican Glee Club, ot Rensselaer, was present a,nd sang eight or ten campaign aud. other patriotic songs, which “took” immensely.
