Death of Mrs. Lecklider.

Mrs. Sarah Lecklider died at :h§ home of her daughter. Mrs. Catherine Laßue, last Monday, at; .he age of 73 years. The deceased was one of our early settlers* She removed from Ohio, her native state, when very young, to Tippecanoe county, and came from there to Jasper county in 1848. In 1870 she went to live with a daughter, in Illinois, and remained there until about five weeks ago, when. Mrs. Laßue brought her to her home in Rensselaer. Her richness was dropsy of the heart, .and during the last four or five weeks, has been painful, beyond description; but the were borne with most remarkable patience. The funeral was held at Mrs. LaRue's residence, Tuesday afternoon; Rev. E. G. Pelby preaching the funeral sermon. ,-The remains were laid to rest in the Crockett cemetery, south-east oUtown, where those of her dragst band and many other near relatives had preceded her.
