The Alumni Recption,

The residence and grounds of Dr. M. B. Alter was brilliantly illuminated and tastefully decorated on the ‘evening of the 25 inst. The ocoasion being a reception given by the Alumni of the Rensselaer High, School to the “class of ’BB. There were present about seventy guests. Toasts, were responded to by Miss Ella Ryan of class of ’B2, Prof. Reubelt Mrs. Belle Watson of class ,80, Mrs. Etta Baker of class of ,85, Aftkur Hopkins of class of ’B6, Miss Frankie McEwen of ’B7, and Robert Vanatta of ’BB. .The efforts without exception did credit to the alumni, as well the speaker; after the toasts the guests partook of an elegant supper which would have done credit to the most accomplished caterer. All present are loud in their praise of the social features of the evening, a prominent part of which was the music kindly furnished by Mrs. Delos Thompson and others. A noticable feature was the handsome costumes and flowers worn by the guests. Those of the graduating class were especally prepared for the evening, and are deserving of discription could we do them justice. ***
