Voorhees Apologizes.

At the conclusion of the morning business in the Senate, Tuesday, Senator Voorhees arose, and, after stating that he had been ill,for almost a week, said: “Referring to a ditcussion in which I participated last week, I desire to say to the Senate that, however severe the provocation which was given, yet I made use of language at that time cons rary to the rules ot this,, body, parliamentary rules and usage, and the decorum of the Senate. I regret having used such language and I tender a proper apology to the Senate of the United States for doing so. My high respect for the dignity of this body, of which I have so long been a member, as well as my self-re-spect induce me to make this statement
