THE FIFTIETH CONGRESS.

In the Senate, on the 9th, Che railroad land forfeiture bill was passed. The bill aa passed is general in its provisions, forfeiting all lands heretofore granted to any Stae or to any oorporation to aid in the construction of a railroad opposite to and 00-terminus with the poitfon of any such railroad not now completed and in operation far the construction or benefit of which lands have heretofore been granted: and all such lands are declared to be a part of the public domain. The rights of all innocent purchasers, eta, are cared for, and exceptions made as noted in the amendments agreed to in the past few days of the.debate. The Inter-Nation-al copyright bill was passed. The act goes into effect July Ist. The House debated the tariff bill. The Senate, on the 10th, passed several unim portant bills and adjourned until the 14thJ The House debated the tariff bill.
