AND STILL ANOTHER
Successor to the Continental .Railroad. . Week before we gave the intelligence of the incorporation, in this state, of the American Midland Railroad Company, which proposed to build an east and west road across the state from Allen to Newton counties, crossing Jasper county, Of course. This week it is our privilege to announce the incorporation of still another company, the purpose of which is to build a railroad along w’hat is evk dently, identically the same route., It is to extend from a point on the east side of Allen county, through the counties of Allen, Whitley, Wabash, Kosciusco, Fulton, Pulaski, Jasper and Newton, to the western boundary of the state, the length being 150 miles. The directors are W. B. Sterrett, Geo. J. Sherman, George Demster, C. NHaskell, John K. Brice, of Ohio, H. J. Baldwin and W. A. Armstrong, of Pennsylvania. It is understood that this road is to be a part of a great trunk line extending from Ne w York to San Francisco when completed. The capital stock is $4,000,000. The name of the corporation is the Ohio, Indiana and Missouri Railroad Company.
