The Board of Education.

The County Board of Education held its regular May meeting Tuesday afternoon. All the members of the board, including all the township trustees, were present, except Mr. Coover, secretary of the School Board of Remipgton. The enumeration of school children for the various townships were turned over to the County Superintendent. Several committees were appointed, the most important being one to examine into and report upon th& advisability of adopting text books for the schools of the county; the period for which all books were adopted except physiology and history, will expire in August. The members of this committee.are J. R. Guild, E. T. Biggs and E. L. Clark. Jas. R. Guild, trustee of-Gillam township, was elected permanent Secretary of the Board. The enumeraticnr of the townships will be given as soon as compiled by the County Superintendent.
