The Delphi Convention.
At the Tenth district convention, at Dblphi, last Thursday, Judge E C. Field was elected a delegate to the National Republican convention, by a nearly unanimous vote. For the second delegate there was a pretty lively contest between D, AV. Tomlinson, of , Logansport, and A. K. Sills, of Monticello- The latter was elected, by a vote of 48 to 38. The alternate delegates are J. A. Hatch, •of Kentland and M. L. DeMotte, of Valparaiso. Messrs. Field and Sills will vote for General Harr-i----soq on the first ballot and so long thereafter as there seems a reasonable prospect for his nomination. After that they will be ready to do as much for Judge Gresham. There w T ere no resolutions, of any kind, adopted by the convention and the delegates are entirely uniinstructed, and free to act as their best judgment dictates.
