Call for Township and County Conventions.
—Notice is hereby given to the Republican voters of J asper county, that a couuty delegate convention 'will be held in the court house in Rensselaer, on Saturday, May 5, 1888, at 1 o’clock p. M., to nominate candidates to be voted for at the ensuing November, 1888, election, for the following offices. County Treasurer, County Sheriff, County Surveyor, County Coronor, County Commissioner for the First District, County Commissioner for the Second District. County Commissioner for the Third Distiict. Mass conventions of the RepubM hcan voters of thtwseveral civil townships and voting precincts of Jasper county will be held on Saturday, April 28,1888, at two o’clock p. m., to elect delegates to the county convention above called, at the following named places:- : In Marion township, South Precinct, m the court house, in Rensselaer. In North Precinct, Marion township, in the Opera House, in Rensselaer. In Carpenter township, West Precinct, in Exchange Hall, in Remington. In East Precinct, Carpenter tp., in Ohio street school house. 4" In Wheatfield township, in the Wheatfield school house. In all other townships, in their respective voting places. The ratio of representation will be one delegate for each ten votes cast for Robert S. Robertson, in 1886, and 6ne delegate for a fraction of five; votes or over, apportioned as follows: . . Vote.
