OBITUARY.

JOSEPH MORLAN. Died. —At his home 14 miles west -of Rensselaer. March 30,1888, Joseph Morlau, at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 17 days. Father Morian was born Feb. 13, 1809, in Columbian county, Q. Hb moved tp Jasper county in 1859 and has lived in the neighborhood, where he died, ever since. His aged wife , and five children, three girls and two boys, survive hi im The. two- boys, Edmund H. arid Oniar Morian, and Mrs. Phoebe Grant, live here; two daughters still live iu Ohio. He was an affectionate husband, a kind fatfier and a Christian gentleman. He will be missed as a citizen ana neighbor. The family desire to extend their sincere thanks to those who so kindly showed their sympathy during the days of their affliction". A Friend.
