MILD OR STRONG.

Color Nothing to Do with the Strength of a C-'-ood Cigar. Kalitas City Journal. “It is surprising,” said a prominent tobacco man the other day,“ the amount oi misinformation that prevails among old smokers even in reference to the strength of cigars as indicated by the color of the wrapper. These colors run from claro, the lightest, to oscuro, the darkest, but the litter is a very rare color and is seldom seen nowadays. Now ninety-nine smokers of a hundred fancy that the strength of the tobacco is regulated by the color of the cigar, but it is a great mistake. It has little or nothing to do with it whatever, but the man who calls for a claro walks off er-, tirely satisfied that he is necessarily smoking a mild cigar, whereas he might have bought a maduro and got a milder one. “I will tell you why.
