White Post township, in P ulas ki county, in which is the town of Medaryville, elected the. entire Republican ticket, last Monday, except a single road supervisor. This is the first time the Republicans have had any show in that township, in the memory of man. It was generally expected that nearly all the railroads leading out of Chicago would be tied up by a big strike, yesterday, but at the last moment, the intended strikers weakened, and abandoned their intention, and the danger seems permanently averted. /
