A BuHding and Loan Association.

A MEETING CALLED. A movement to organize a building, loan and savings association in Rensselaer.was started last Friday and met with such great favor as to leave no doubt of the success of the enterprise. It is proposed to organize with a capital stock of $50,000, divided into 500 shares of SIOO per share. About 400 of these 500 have already been subscribed for.. It is’much to be-de-sired that these 100 remaining shares be taken by people who would be most benefited by such an association. That is, by mechanics and other workingmen, and especially by such as contemplate buying or building a home or raising the indebtedness upon homqs already built. A public meeting will be held in the court house to-morrow (Friday) evening in which the organization of the association will probably Ke perfected, and the practical workings and benefits of such associations fully explained by competent speakers.
