TWO BOILERS EXPLODE

And Several Men are Killed or Injured at i Brazil, Ind, Batteries nine and ten, occupying the entire North end of the rolling mill, at Brazil. Clay county, Ind., exploded at 10:30, Monday, with terrific force, demolishing two smoke stacks and tearing down the North end of the mill, piling the debris several feet deep. A strong force began work among the ruins at once and in a Bhort time, Matt Mortimore, a puddler, married, and a resident of Brazil, was found under a mass of red-hot brick and burned to a crisp. Among the wounded are Wm. E. Williams, a puddler, badly scalded; John Kaufman, struck by a flying missile; John Lewis, puddler, scalded EliasDavis; scalded and crushed; John m-~ l Tobin, puddler, struck by missiles and badly burned; Pete Dolan, puddler, badly scalded. One boiler was hurled projectile like, one hundred yards west, exploding at the end. The loss on property, as well as ip life and limb, will be great. One of the batteries exploded two years ago. ......
