No County Order will be paid to any person owing delinquent taxes. The sale of lairds for delinquent taxes begins on the < Second Monday in February, 1888. J’or the collection of which I may be found at my office in Rensselaer, Jasper County, Indiana, as directed by law. Tax payers should count their change and examine their receipts before leaving the office, to be sure they are correct. Purchasers of personal as well as real property should remember that taxes follow the property, should the taxes remain unpaid/ Call on the Auditor or Board of Commissioners for rebate of taxes. The Treasurer must collect as ho finds them charged upon the duplicate. If you pay taxes in more than one township, mention it to the Treasurer. I especially urge all tax payers to pay promptly and prompt payers should use their influence upon delinquents so that the rate of taxation may be reduced to the minimum. Preserve your receipts, especially if you remove from one township to another, in the county. Persons living at a distance can send bank or express draft. Enclose postage stamp when answer, is expected by mail. I. B. WASHBURN, Treasurer Jasper County.
