Free Will Baptist Yearly Meeting.
The Northern Indiana yearly meeting of the Free Will ..Baptist church convened at Badger Grove, White county, Friday, Sept. 23rd, and held over the Sabbath. There was a large attendance from various parts of the state, and 36 went from Rensselaer aud vicinity. The beautiful church building, erected by the B. G. church this summer, was dedicated. Two hundred dollars were raised in about twenty minutes, the sum required before dedication. Rev. Dickinson, president of liidgeviile college, preached the sermon, and Rev. ltendel, of Wawaka, Inch, offered the dedicatory prayer. It was estimated that near 1,000 people were present, and it was a glorious good time for all, and long to be remembered. Bro. T. H. Stewarf remained a few days wjtli the B. G. church and will be present at our next session of,the Q. M., to be held Oct. 8 aud 9 in the Free Will Baptist church at Rensselaer, A cordial invitation to attend is extended to all. We will havp a pleasant t time. There is great need of a greater work being done in our city in the right direction. Some of the sad realities of life have been forced upon us on acaccount of bad,,morals. Life is too short and sweet to spend in idleness and sin. B. F. F. Mr. Bucklen made another unsuccessful attempt to case the old gas well, near Francesville,. last Friday. The New Fra thinks Bucklen might as well give the old, well up, as a bad job, and bore a new one; which reminds us, by-the-way, that it is oniy a few weeks since the Era brought The Republican up shoit for venturing tho opinion that the old well was an old fraud. We think the Era wiil not dispute the assertion again.
