As a son he was good and obedient, "as ft husband lie yvns kind and affectionate, as a father tender and loving, as'a soldier turn and brave film as a citizen and neighbor he was .upright, n man of integrity, loved and respected by all that knew him. His Christian faith sustained him in life, and comforted him in death, and is the consolation T)f Ids friends who remain.- lie rests in peace. , He testified to the Saviour’s love, and said to his aged father that his prospects were bright and ,growing.brighter all the time as he nearedjthe end.
