About the New Railroad.

A well known citizen was over in Newton county this week, as far as Morocco. He found that the fiarty . which is surveying a railroad ineTrom Momence to Goodland had passed through Morocco Saturday and would? probably have reached Goodland by last evening. The people of Morocco are enthusiastic over their prospects for at last getting a railroad and look upon the... early . building of the road as an assured fact, and judging from what we have been able to learn, they have pretty good reason for so believing. The line as surveyed strikes the eastern edge of Morocco. The country lies very favorably for a railroad and it is said that the surveyors are making a permanent survey at this first trip. It is further stated that the work of putting in sidetrack and switches, for the new connection, is already in in progress on the Eastern Illinois, at Momence.
