Niagara Falls and Chataqua Lake Excursion.
Bill’s Fifth Annual Niagara Falls Excursion will leave Valparaiso August 15, via the Nickel Plate, N. Y. C. <t’St. L. By. This special train will be muje up of Pullman day coaches and Parlor sleeping cars. Fare for the round' trip from Valpo, Co the Fat's only $7.50; to Chautauqua 81.00 extra. Tram will leave Valparaiso ar9:53 a. M:, arriving at.l he Falls on the following morning. Returning will leave the Falls. August 17th, arriving in Cleveland at 3 o’clock I’, m., and remaining there until 10 o’clock P. si. Parties desiring to. visit Chautaqua will leave our train at Brockton. Tickets are issued for special train only, but will be extended by applying to excursion agent on train. Our excursions are largely patronized by the best people, are conducted in a first-class maimer, und have become very popular. A large delegation of teachers and students accompany us each year. Towk Board.—At the regular meeting of the Town Board Monday night the resignation of*!’. G. Henkle, as lamp-lighter, was accepted; and the town marshal agreed to care for and light the street lamps, andiip to receive five dollars per month increase of salary therefore; Rial Benjamin gave the town a deed for a small corner of land to extend Division street, which was accepted. „ It was agreed that the Town should furnish timber for building a five barrel cistern at the spring in the county road where it crosses the river, below Hyland’s mill. The clerk was directed to draw up an ordinance prohibiting the running at large or the herding of horses on the streets pr commons of the town. ; bA special meeting was held last evening to act on this ordinance.
