The Sunday School Jubilee.

On Saturday, J uly 30, was held the Sabbath school celebration intlie grove,..near Alter’s mill, in Union tp. Early in the morning the people began to assemble, and continued coming until about 500 were there. Schools came in delegations,’with banners dying, and were headed into the green by Yeoman’s band. The exercises begaiVAt—lo:ls, by song by the Brushwood school, led by Rev. E. Pearson. After prayhr was offered by the Rev. Mr. Brasket, remainder'of the forenoon was devoted to preaching, singing and] literary exercises. Just before dismissing for refreshment, Bro. Isaac Alter had announced that every teacher on the ground collect their scholars, jaame the number to the writer’ and they would receive an order for the leimmad.'. We had the pleasure of writing orders for. 210 Sabbath school scholars and teachers. The dinners were splendid and'plenty for all. No pains were spared to make strangers welcome. There "were thirty or more from Rensselaer. At the close of the exercises of the day Mr. Isaac Alter once more proved giving a-vay over 300 glasses of, lemonade. B’pace will not admit us to state all points of interest, but we must say the people in that part of the county are alive to the interests of their children and deserve the praise, encouragement and prayers of all Christian people.
