About the Celebration.
From the present indications the celebration an Comer’s Grove will surely be a success. The program is so arranged that the older folks can have the day anil thro young People the evening. Doctor I. B. Washbom who is well known as a Christian Sabbath School,, and Temperance man and George W. Ingram and Fred Chilcote will be present and fill the people’s hearts with Patriotism. While Miss Laurie Hodshire will read the Declaration of Independence to the satisfaction of all present Mrs. Alice McColly will be the Organist and assisted by an able corps of singers wi ll furnish music for the day. Musical recitals will be given by Charley and Alice McColly, Jennie Boston, Miss L. Hodshire and others. All of the first class amusemellts that follow a Fourth of July will be on the program, such as sack racing, foot racing, climbing a greased pole and a kite flying for small boys. John Casey informs us that he has not forgot the steps and songs he learned in the war. A platform 24 by 24 feet is being constructed for those who love to trip the light fantastic toe. Those [desiring to be satisfied with the [day, shoultt attend Comer’s Grove. Under the management of the Marshal, James H. McClanahan and his assistants good order will reign supreme. *«*
