Decoration Day Order.

Headquarters Rensselaer Post, • No. 84, Department or Ind., G. A. R. GENERAL ORDER NO. 3. I. All comrades of this Post are directed to assemble at the Post Hall at 10 o'clock a. M,. Sunday, May 29, ISB7, to attend a memorial sermon, to be delivered by Comrade David Handlpy. at the ME church, at 10:30 on that day. 11. All comrades of the Post are di reeled lo at the Post Hall, promptly at 1 o’clock r. m , May 30, 1887, to engage in Memorial Day services and decoration of soldiers' graves. Hl An invitation is hereby extendedlo all e x-soidiers not members of the G. A. R., to fall in with us and participate in the services of both days. IV. The Women's Relief Corps and Gen R. H Milroy Camp. No. 55, S. of V. are expected as a matter’of course, to join with us on these occasions. V. Iroquois Lodge, 143 I. O. O. F., K. of P. Lodge, 82, and the Rensselaer Public Schools are invited to lend their assistance on the 80th inst.

VI. All organizations are requested to move from their separate places of rendezvous at precisely 1:30 r. m, to such place as shall be designated by the Field Marshal. VII. Comrade Horace E James is detailed to act as Field Marshal and is charged with the formation of the pro cession and the conduct of the march. , VIII. A special invitation is extend ed to the singing choirs of the M. E. and Presbyterian churches and ail oth er vocal musicians of Rensselaer, and to the Rensselaer Cornet Band to assist in the rendition of the programme of the 30th. ~

IX. Th® public at large are respect fully solicited to donate Howers for dec oration and to contribute their presence and assistance in commemoratin" the » - H days et apart to the memory of heroes who have fallen in defense of the homes and firesides we now enjoy. X. The proprietors of business houses are requested to close their several places of business during the par ade to the cemetery and the exercises thereat and to loin with us in the suitable observance of such day.
