The Cas Well Meeting.
OFFICIAL REPORT. KENBSELAER, Ixd., May 7, 1887. The citizens of Rensselaer met at court house as per call. Meeting called to order by Wm, A. Kinehart. Hon. E. P. Hammond was elected chairman and E. G. No web secretary. The chair stated the object of the meeting to be for the purpose of taking action looking to the organization of a company to drill for gas and coal oil. 13y direction of the chair = the secretary read the law governing the organization of gas companies, after which the chair proceeded to read a form of articles of association.. The name of the “Eensselaer Natural Gas and Oil Company” was adopted. The amount of stock agreed upon was 8100,000 in I0 rt)jo shares of 810 each. Work to begin as soon as $2,500 worth of stock js taken, and cash paid into the treasury. On motion and seooncl it was agreed that the number of directors be nine and the corporate seal to contain the words “Rensselaer Natural Gas and Oil Company.” On motion and second the articles of association were adopted as read. On motion and second the chair was directed to appoint a committee of three to solicit subscriptions. The chair appointed Messrs. Wm. A. Rinehart, F. J. Sears and A. Leopold as such committee. The following named gentlemen subscribed as follows: A Leopold, 15 shares, E; P. Hammond 5, A. Parkinson 5, J. W. Williams 5, Warren Robinson 4, C. D. Newels 3, Ben. Tutuer 3, R. Fendig 3, G. E.
