Township Graduating Exercises

'OKDAN TOWNSHIP. Notwithstanding the bad condidion ot me weather quite a large crowd assembled at Egypt school house last Friday uight to attend the graduating .exercises. Au organ was brought from Mr. Kessenger's, ar J some good music was given by the young folks of the neighborhood. Those who had comforted the course of study read essays as follows: May F. Kessenger, “Indiana.” Alice Besse, “Difficulties in obtaining an education." -Cynthia Snodgrass, “The Aborigines of America.” Joseph E. McCofioUgh, “Light." Mary S. Adams, “Woman's Sphere," In addition to these Miss Cora Adams spoke “The Wreck of the Hesperus," and Miss May Farmer recited a humorous declamation entitled, “The .Stool." At the close of the exercises the di plomas were presented by the county superintendent. The essays and declamations showed marks of careful preparation and were very creditably .delivered. ..LiL
