At whoso table are you going to eat? / Jim. lam going to eat at the pret’ tieat girls’ table. Jack. Are you going to take your girl too? - Jim. , Yes, I am going to take both of my girls. You see I have two, and I must take both. Jack. Jim, did you go to tho Dickens’ last year? Jim. Yes. 1 was there, and a fine time 1 had. 1 never had a bettersupper in all my life than I had the;e, and all for §5 cents. Jack Well, 1 wcr'nt there, but I was sorry afterwards that I didu't go. Everybody said he had such a good time, and, Jim, I wouldn’t miss the Scott entertainment and supper for a good deal. lam going to take my girl aud I am going to see that she gets that silver cake dish, to bo voted to the most popular lady present, if it takes the last cent l'vo got. Jim, If your girl gets that dish it will be because you have more money thau I can scrape together, and, you bet, I’ll scrape hard Jack. Well, we’ll see. But what about the cane? Jim. I believe whoever gets the c.iue wiil have to (give a goodly iiuiu ber of votes, for 1 have heard several young fellows say, they would spend their last nickel but what they' would ■have'“the gold Leaded walking stick, and they have a good many nicktds. • But. Jack, my girl will get the dish,; some man will get the cane, wo’il get a • good supper, have lots of fun, aud will j have a general good time. Who will be the lucky man to knock the cane wijh the persimmon? Who will bg the lucky lady.to secute.j, the silver cake dish as tho prize? Here j is an excellent opportunity for the gallant young men to show their appre edition for their sweethearts We sup at o’clock, eat bananas and oranges tit C o’clock, popcorn and can dy are taken at 7 o’clock and at 8 o'clock we lt-ten to exercise-, tableaux and ! appreciate the music; but at O'clock | the interesting part begins, the gold- j headed cane and silver dish voting to the most popular gentleman and tne most popular lady present, at the grand Scott Festival, to-morrow evening.
