Boy Badly Shot.

Charley Brown, the only sen of Geo. H. Brown, Jr., a well known citizen of Barkley tp., was standing upon a sill of his father’s wagon scales yesterday . morning, holding a double - barrel shot gun in his hands, with the butt of the gun resting upon the sill, and the barrel across his arm. In bending over a little to hand to his father a piece of writing, he let the gun slip, and the hammers struck the edge of the sill, and I both barrels were discharged. -The i desii was tQi-u from the inside of the left arm for a space of about three • inches, a short distance above the wrist, and the veins and terntoi e considerably injured. One shot entered the boy’s side, but come out again without piercing \ cry deeply. Several shot struck his head also, and wounded his scalp pretty badly.! Dr. Alter, of Rensselaer, was t called and dressed tlie wound, and removed the shot from the scalp; and found bov pretty seriously, bat not dangerously hurt. The gun was loaded with coarse shot for geese. The boy’s coat was j torn to pieces, and it the gun had pointed a half inch nearer his side, his been j blown to pieces. It was a very I close escape..
