The Pope has sent to the Czar congratulations oil his escape from assassins... .A public consistory was held in the Sala Regia at Rome, says a foreign dispatch. '“The procession of cardinals, prelates, etc., was a gorgeous affair. The Pope was borne on a sedia gestatoria, flanked with white peacock-feather fans, and guarded by the noble and Swiss guards.
