A Minneapolis lady newsdealer makes a statement which does not reflect very favorably on the gallantry of a certain class of men in their business relations. She says: ’ “In my correspondence I never put Miss’ before my signature. I have found that I always get cheated when I do. The dealers think, *Oh, well, she’s a woman, and if we do step over the line of strict fairness she will not resent it.’ And so I merely sign my name without any prefix of any sort, and they do not attempt to swindle me. Now, this is not so slight a thing as you may imagine. " — St. Paul Pionter Press.
