“The finest country in the v orld” has been discovered again, this time in Dade county, in southwestern Missouri. At least such is the view of Mr. J. E. Tryon, a -former Jasperito, who writes to renew his subscription to The 11epublican and discourses as follows: “You may tell your readers that this is the finest country and climate, all things considered, in the world. tVheat looks fine and promises a big yield: oats are sown and corn ground partly plowed. Plowing haying been done at odd times all the winter. This section is all prairie, skirted now and then with timber along Thesoil is rich and deep and all kinds of grain and grasses grow luxuriantly. Health always good. Water is found everywhere at from 12 to 22 feet, in abundance and of the purest quality. Coal -abounds everywhere and is forth $1 Ab per ton at mines. Landis cheap, and improved farms can be bought verv low. Many Newton, Jasper and Benton county families are here and are prosperous and happy.
