A Lonely Man's Sad Death.
(Coroner Blue went up to DeMotte, in Keener tp., last Thursday, to hold an inquest on the body of James Ramej', an old man who, since last November, bad been living alone in a cabin in the woods, near Pleasant Valley school house, in Keener tp. His dead body was found Wednesday afternoon, some 15 or 29 yards distant from his liut, by Wm. Tyler, upon whose land the hut was situated. Dr. Hartsell accompanied Mr. Blue to DeMotte and made a postmortem examination of the body and found that death was the result of apoplexy, of the brain, that it was instantaneous and, of course, painless. The death had evidently occurred some time before the body was discovered, and it was Dr. Hartsell’s opinion that it occurred on the Monday before. The deceased lived alone from choice, and had done so for many years. His age was about 75 years. Two daughters survive him, one of whom lives at Rose Lawn; or near there.
