A Colorado Opinion of Will Sears.
Canon City lieporter. The pardoning of Mr. Wm. dE. Sears by Governor Eaton was undoubtedly an act of justice. He killed a man who invaded his household, abusing him' most outrageously, as well as his wife, indulging in a cowardly, vulgartirade of abuse, which no man possessed of any mettle would permit without resenting it. The brutal blackguard only received his just deserts, and Spars should never have been convicted. Mr. ' Sears’ father was a man of considerable properly, and the persecution, of Sears was undoubtedly a put-up job to extort money. We have taken considerable pains to get information upon the subject, and we are satisfied that Sears was entirely inuocent of any crime.
