I’he Tdwti Board held a special meeting la6t Wednesday evening and contracted jfritli the Sun Vapor Ught and Stove Company, of Canton, Ohio, for 32 street lamps, to Be delivered in about 30 days from the date of the contract. The lamps will cost, including white cedar posts, turned and painted $6.25, on board cars at Indianapolis. : The substance burned in the lamps is gasolene, and if they equal the sample lamp show* here, there will make a firm light. L’he purchase of these lamps, if they have as permanently successful as appearances indicate will mark a new era in the progress of the town.
