A Growing Evil In Our Midst, j Editor Republican: Almost any Sunday can be seen the sacrelegious sight of our mercantile houses wide open and doing business. The question naturally arises, is this right, from a moral as well as a legal point of view? It seems to us that if our press and pulpit would take a decided stand on this question, the vicious custom would be abolished. The law in this matter should be enforced and a stop put to keeping stores open on Sunday.
