A Church Robbed.

Last Sunday it was discovered that sometime daring the previous week, some miserable wretch had picked the lock to the rear door of the Catholic church, at this place, and stolen therefrom an elegant and valuable golden chalice, the personal property of Father Zurnbuelte'. The elegant and expensive cover of the communion table was also taken. The stolen chalice was presented to Father Zumbuelte by fellow students in the old country, at the time of his ordination, and had the names of the donors engraved upon it. It was very highly prized by Father Zumbuelte, not only on account of its intrinsic value, which was great, but on account of its associations. It is much to be hoped that it may be recovered and the perpetrators of this villainous and sacrilegious act be brought to justice.
